BloodRayne Sequel Announced 10:13 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Despite poor ratings for the original, game publishers Majesco have just announced that multi-platform developers Terminal Reality are currently working on BloodRayne 2. The sequel puts players once again in control of the half-human, half-vampire femme fatale, as she battles the siblings of her dead arch-nemesis, Kagan. Although information on the new title is fairly sparse, Majesco is promising that while the sequel will bring new environments, new powers, and new bosses to the game, emphasis will remain on acrobatic combat and supernatural powers. The game, expected to be released in October of 2004, will no doubt be tied in with the $30 million horror film, announced in early September, based on the gaming franchise. The movie, currently in pre-production, is being produced by the German production company Boll KG, responsible for previous big screen translations of computer games House Of The Dead and Alone In The Dark. The movie based on the vampiric anti-hero is expected to hit theatres, or, at least video store shelves, in summer 2005. We'll bring you more news on this new game as it develops.
