Possible Freedom Force Sequel? 10:18 AM | Mike Apps | Comment on this story
HomeLan is reporting that the latest issue of the PC Gamer Magazine reveals an upcoming sequel to the classic Super-Hero RPG game Freedom Force. The game is reportedly being developed again by Irrational Games, and currently lacks a publisher. Here's the full announcement: The newest issue of PC Gamer magazine revealed that Irrational Games will release a sequel to their critically acclaimed super hero action-RPG Freedom Force. According to the brief article, the sequel will be titled Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich and will find the super team heading back in time to fight enemies in WWII. The sequel, which will contain new heroes and villains, new superpowers and a graphical upgrade, will be released in spring 2004. There is no word yet on who will be publishing the game. As many will remember, Freedom Force didn't sell well at all on the PC side, despite a slew of critical acclaim and despite the fact it attracted a number of die-hard fans. Hopefully with a different publisher, this sequel will be better off. For more information, follow the links below.
