Phelios Releases Swap 9:41 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Mac and PC puzzle game creators Phelios, Inc. have released their new, Othello-type game Swap. Designed as a cross between Othello and Tetris, Swap requires players to clear similarly coloured pieces from the playing board by swapping the pieces into rows of three or more. Additional pieces can be cleared using the game's various power-up pieces, such as the bomb or the line clearing tool. Featuring four modes of gameplay, Swap allows players the option of playing under the gun, with either a 60 or 300 second time limit, or playing an open-ended game, with the goal of either collecting a million points, or playing until they drop. The game's requirements call for only a Mac capable of running OS X, equipped with 64 MB of RAM and a 16 MB openGL accelerator 3D card. The game, which is available from the Phelios website for $14.95 USD, has both a 2.8 meg downloadable demo and a QuickTime trailer, which can both be accessed by the link below.
