Aspyr Media announced today that they will be publishing the popular action adventure game Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb for the Macintosh platform. While the official press release has yet to be released, Aspyr has already updated their homepage to reflect changes. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, originally developed for the Xbox, PS2, and PC, features old-school adventuring with an action twist. Below is a brief description of the game from Aspyr's website: Indy Returns for a Heart-Stopping New Adventure.You're Indiana Jones. Legendary adventurer. Daring rogue. And the most butt-kicking archaeologist the world has ever seen. It's 1935 and this time you must prevent a powerful Chinese artifact from falling into evil hands. This globe-spanning adventure pits you against evil Nazis and the Asian underworld with a mysterious and alluring partner, Mei Ying. It'll take more than just a trusty whip and pistol to avoid deadly traps and navigate through all the dangerous environments. Do you have what it takes to possess the mysterious "Heart of the Dragon?" Aspyr has also included a list of preliminary system requirements for those interested: Mac OS X 10.2.6 or higher 800 MHz PowerPC G4 or better (this may need to be revised up) 256 MB RAM 750 MB free on Disk 32 MB Radeon 7500 / GeForce 2 class 3D hardware acceleration required 64 MB Radeon 9000 / GeForce 4 Titanium or better recommended 1 GB free on Hard Disk Aspyr has noted that the game is now in the alpha stages and is expected for release sometime in September. They are currently accepting pre-orders for the game at their online store.
