Luciano Pecorella of the Italian Mac gaming site games4mac.it notified us that a free patch is available on their site that translates the text of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, a turn-based empire-building game recently published by Aspyr Media, to Italian.

They also have a patch for the antiterrorist shooter Rainbow Six in the works as well. If you would prefer playing these games in your native tongue -- or perhaps you are a student of the language, and want some incentive to help you learn -- these patches will 'localize' the games for Italian speakers.
