Sims Utilities on the Way 6:00 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
SimsForMac, the site dedicated to everything about playing Maxis' unique title The Sims on your Mac, has recently asked a few questions of Aspyr Media, the company which published this title on the Mac OS. Their Q&A covers the Livin' Large add-on pack, future add-on object to be ported, and this interesting bit about Mac ports of The Sims utilities: Will there be a utility so mac users can make walls, floors, and objects? How soon until we can get our hands on that? Which utilities will be released?
A: Phil Sulak and the Westlake Interactive team are currently putting the final touches on the SimsShow, the first official Skins tool. Other tools are also in the works, more details to come.
SimShow is the utility that allows users to preview custom-made 'skins' for their sims characters. This is likely one of the most requested tools for the game, though there are other utilities that may be on their way. Head on over to SimsForMac.com for more info, including a revamped skins section and word on new topiaries -- decorative shrubs, don't you know -- at Aspyr's web site. We'll be sure to let you know when SimShow is near release.
