e.p.i.c. Progress Update On Earth 2150 1:35 PM | Johan Hansén | Comment on this story
Thomas Steiding from e.p.i.c. interactive has posted an update on the status of the upcoming real-time strategy game Earth 2150: Escape from the Blue Planet in the IMG forums. The game has been delayed for a while now and his post explains why: Earth 2150 has not been cancelled. But it is an extremely tough port. The whole code is so dependent on special features of Visual Studio 6 that it is far from easy to bring it to a different compiler (even on the PC) and even more tricky to bring it to another platform-. In addition E2150 makes heavy use of its very own internal compiler system which is used for scripts. We are still working on it; once its finished quite a few games would be ready for the Mac (and MorphOS) such as Lost Souls or World War III. So we can still look forward to play Earth 2150 on the Mac. For more information about the game, please visit the official site. To read the update follow the link to the forum thread below, you have to scroll down a bit on the page to find it.We will keep you informed as soon as any major new information about the Mac version of Earth 2150 is revealed.
