the gems in game publisher Ambrosia Software’s crown. Since 1993 Ambrosia
has been churning out fantastic shareware titles for Mac gamers. IMG takes
an inside peek at Ambrosia. Here's an excerpt:
Ambrosia’s first release was Maelstrom, a remake of Asteroids that adds beautiful color graphics, new sound effects, power-ups and several other new elements to the classic arcade game. Maelstrom quickly became a favorite among Mac gamers; it won several awards, including MacUser’s 1993 Best Shareware Game award and taking first place in the 1994 Mac Home Journal Reader's Choice Awards.
