Civ III: Play the World for Mac Confirmed?

IMG was contacted over the weekend by Civilization Fanatics, a site which recently posted a log of a Q&A session with some of the folks from Firaxis. The chat mostly discusses Play The World, the recently released expansion for Civilization III. However, there is one question posed near the end of the session that will be of interest Mac Civilization III fans, which indicates a long-suspected Mac version should be on its way: Q: I know PtW is fundamentally a PC game (with direct X or wahtever), but is there a possibility it might come out for the Mac. Out of 4 People including me of my friends that want PtW, two of us use Macs and are not going to switch.

A: <+Jeff_Morris_FIRAXIS>Go Infogrames, they green-lit it. Although not an official announcement of a Mac port, it is certainly strong evidence that a Mac port is on the way.
