Apple Games Feature iPod Cake Mania 3 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 1 comment
Apple Games latest article examines Cake Mania 3, available for some of Apple's iPod multimedia devices. Cake Mania 3 features over 80 levels, six bakeries set in six different eras, and a variety of equipment available for customizing the player's bakery. Apple's article includes an overview of the gameplay and a list of tips and tricks for success. At the start of each level, Jill’s bakery opens for business and customers begin to arrive. Hand each one a menu and wait for them to decide what kind of cake they want — use those precious seconds of downtime to address other customers’ needs. Once a customer shows you their order, start baking a cake in that shape and move it over to the frosting machine when it’s done. Then serve it to the customer and collect their tip. As the levels progress and Jill travels forward through time, the orders become more complex. Soon she needs to juggle drink orders and make cakes that she must not only frost but also decorate. Luckily, she can buy all kinds of helpful gadgets with her tip money, including: a TV, which distracts customers and makes them forget how long they’ve been waiting; faster ovens and frosting machines; a telephone, which lets her take to-go orders; a refrigerator for storing premade cakes that she can immediately serve to customers; and more. Each historical era that Jill completes allows her to save another wedding guest and return them to the present. By the end, she’ll need to save herself too, capping off her adventure by making the perfect wedding cake. And then all will be well — until she has to call on her baking skills to avert disaster once again. Read the rest of the review at the link listed below.
