Duck Hunt For iPhone 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Thanks to the efforts of Deron Dantzler Nintendo's classic Duck Hunt game has made its way to the iPhone. Coded in JavaScript, the game recreates the arcade action of the original title on Apple's new phone. I’ve never programmed a game before, nor do I claim to be a professional. I’m not really sure what motivated me to do this, it was kind of just an idea hatched out of boredom that turned into a pretty fun little project. I’m sure that there are plenty of bugs to be found, but for those of you who do not want to hack your iPhone in order to play an old classic, this might be a quick fix (even if it isn’t as cool as Mario). I packed the JavaScript to release the game, mainly because of the top score feature. The code (no matter how scrappy it is) is provided below. If anyone has an idea on how to improve the movement of the duck to make it a little more fun, I’ll be happy to incorporate it. Any other ideas how to make it better? Feel free to leave a comment!
