Feral Announces The Movies For Mac 9:08 AM | Tuncer Deniz | 17 comments
Feral Interactive has announced that it it will be publishing The Movies for the Macintosh. The Movies, which was originally developed by Lionhead Studios, is a game that enables you to build and control your very own Hollywood motion picture studio. Starting at the dawn of the silver screen, you compete with other budding movie moguls to create a string of box office smashes and rule the Industry. All the things you have ever heard about Tinseltown - from starlet scandals to box-office records, from greenlighting a script to making the final cut - are all right here. A unique mix of strategy and artistry, The Movies demands that you do it all, from developing a slate of films to formulating a release strategy, you must manage the the introduction of new technology, turn talent spotter and make unknowns into stars and then manage their ballooning egos. Amazingly, it also lets you get behind the camera as a Director to create your own blockbusters, 'B' Movies or arthouse epics. Movie mogul, talent agent or film director. You can be one or you can be all three. That's the magic of The Movies. David Stephen of Feral Interactive said: "It's a delight and an honour to announce that we will be bringing the glamour of The Movies™ to the Mac, the world's best personal computer. At this time I would just like to thank my agent, my mother and my therapist for their unfailing support during this process." Peter Molyneux of Lionhead Studios said: "We are absolutely thrilled and delighted that the Movies will be coming to a Mac near you soon. The glamorous and artistic nature of The Movies means the Mac makes a perfect home for this game. For this we'd like to thank Feral, without whom this would not be possible." Look for The Movies to come to the Mac later this summer as a universal binary release.
