Weird Worlds for PC Released, Mac Version "Likely" 12:50 PM | Matt Diamond | Comment on this story
The sequel to Strange Adventures in Infinite Space, Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space, was finally released for Windows last month. The developer Digital Eel told Inside Mac Games earlier this year they would make a Mac version as well, but long-time Mac gamers know that a lot can change during a game's development cycle. Fortunately the publisher of Weird Worlds, Shrapnel Games, is no stranger to the Mac, having published both Salvo! and Dominion 2: The Ascension Wars. An addition, an eagle-eyed IMG reader (okay, it was me) spotted the following message in Shrapnel's forums: It's somewhat likely that there'll be a Mac (OS X) version as well, but only after the Windows version is done. We've done this with our other games.
With both the developer and publisher expressing interest, the likelihood of a Mac version of Weird Worlds is good. Inside Mac Games will bring you more information as it comes to light.
