id Software Confirms Next DOOM 3 Invasion

id Software and Activision have announced that the week of April 4th will mark the release of the latest installment in the Doom franchise, Doom 3 on Microsoft's Xbox game console, as well as the released of the latest expansion for Doom 3 on the PC, Resurrection of Evil. Doom 3, described by many as the scariest gaming experience since the original Doom, has enjoyed immense popularity on the PC since its release. Todd Hollenshead, CEO of id Software had this to say about the new expansion: For fans of DOOM 3 on the PC, Resurrection of Evil takes you to the undiscovered depths of the UAC's Mars base and back to Hell itself for a vicious new battle with the forces of evil and the most ferocious demons imaginable. Doom 3 is scheduled for release on February 18th on the Macintosh from Aspyr Media. No word yet on whether this expansion will reach the Macintosh or not.
