Planet Spogg Releases Four Online Games 7:13 AM | Marcus Albers | Comment on this story
Swedish online-gaming site Planet Spogg has released Macintosh versions of four of their multiplayer games. Multitris is a multiplayer puzzle game in the vein of Tetris, Crosswise is a multiplayer crossword game, Ooze is a multiplayer puzzle game like the popular Sega Swirl, and Sketchorama is a multiplayer game much like Pictionary. Planet Spogg has a unique philosophy regarding online multiplayer games: Until now there have been very few, if any, multiplayer games in the genres of puzzle and word games. Traditionally, when thinking of multiplayer games it is often first person shooters of different kinds. Planet Spogg is breaking new ground, and allowing a different group of people to join the multiplayer gaming community. More than half of the players at www.spogg.com are female and the site have players of all ages and nationalities. To play any of the games, you must sign up for an account. The account is free, allowing unlimited play for the first month. After the first month, play is limited to one hour per day, or you can choose to become a paying member for the reasonable fee of $4 per month, or $34 a year.Head over to Planet Spogg to check out the new Macintosh games, or any of their online Java games.
