GA-Source has confirmed with Gathering of Developers, publisher of Oni, that the release of this action game will be delayed until at least the second week of January 2001. The good news is that the game will still be released simultaneously for the Mac, PC, and PlayStation 2.



This is the first official confirmation we have had ever since the rumors of Oni reaching beta status several weeks ago. It is especially disappointing since Bungie's Max Hoberman seemed confident that Oni would be released "on time" in a post on the Bungie.org message boards. It has been expected for some time that Oni would appear with the October launch of the PlayStation 2 in North America, but other publications have placed the date as late as March 2001.
