Back To The Future Episode 5 Reviewed 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 1 comment
Hooked Gamers has posted a new review of the fifth and final episode of Telltale Games' Back to the Future: The Game series. Titled Outatime, the episode wraps up the threads created in the previous four episodes and provides a variety of new puzzles to solve. Hooked Gamers gave the game a score of 7.6 out of 10. From the review: It has been much advertised that Michael J Fox would be in this episode, and he plays quite a key role… or two. He’s just as awesome as ever (especially doing an accent!), but his appearance drives home just how uncanny an impression of him AJ LoCascio’s doing – the two sound nigh identical! LoCascio also does a passable Christopher Lloyd, as we find out in the course of the episode. It is these two wonderful characters that have held together this adventure game (not to mention the film trilogy itself). The Game really digs into the heart of why these two are close friends, and goes a lot deeper into Doc Brown’s motivations and history than the films managed (which were more about Marty). Emmett’s Dad appears properly for the first time, and gives Doc the kind of… wait, no, no spoilers. Suffice to say, fans will love it. Head over to the link below to read the full review.

New Tutorial Coming To City Of Heroes Freedom 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Paragon Studios has posted a new Intrepid Informer article detailing upcoming features to its super hero themed MMO, City of Heroes. This time the Informer focuses on the opening tutorial featured in the upcoming Free-to-Play edition of the game, City of Heroes Freedom. Our goal for the new City of Heroes Freedom opening tutorial is to introduce new players to the game in the most exciting way possible: by injecting them directly into the destruction of Galaxy City. Known for its tributes to fallen heroes, Galaxy City now finds itself fallen and in ruins. The sky is filled with smoke. Buildings are destroyed or on the verge of collapse. The streets are torn asunder. Stunned civilians roam the streets. Strange meteorites fall from the sky, signaling the arrival of Shivan invaders. And taking advantage of the situation, none other than Lord Recluse and his henchmen are on the scene to ring the city's death knell. This is the time for a new hero to be born, or a new villain to rise to power. And we wanted the player to be able to make that choice in a meaningful way. Since this is the first area new players experience in City of Heroes Freedom, we packed as much quality content into it as possible to blow away their expectations. As you play through the Freedom tutorial you may notice an interesting new twist on our loading screen: a five-page comic book that puts you right at the center of the action. The comic book brings players up to speed quickly before they jump into the action and this was our challenge: communicate in five pages all this information in an intense, dynamic way that transitions seamlessly into the game. Fortunately, we have a studio full of great writers and even our own professional comic book artist. Check out the page below to read more.
