Cities In Motion Released
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Deliver2Mac has announced the release of Cities in Motion. The mass public transportation simulator allows players to visit a variety of cities in different time periods where they must build profitable transportation systems.

Think you have what it takes to keep four of the world's greatest cities in motion? In our latest game, Cities in Motion, you'll visit Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam and manage their ever-changing public transportation needs between 1920 and 2020 as you build lines for trains, trams, boats, buses, and helicopters while trying to please commuters, negotiating with banks, and navigating shifting economic trends. Successfully deal with that and you'll hopefully turn a profit.

Each city is rendered in rich 3D detail, with over 100 unique buildings, an underground view, and more than 30 vehicles based on their real-life counterparts. Residents belong to seven different social groups, each with specific behaviors that need to be a accommodated as people travel between their homes, jobs, and vacation destinations.

The included campaign features 12 scenarios. A sandbox mode allows you to play in all four campaign cities to your heart's content, while the advanced map editor lets you create your own metropolises.

Ready to exercise your planning skills? Then let's set some cities in motion!

Twilght Zone Game Coming To Mac
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 2 comments

Legacy Interactive has announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to create a new game based on the iconic science fiction TV series, Twilight Zone. Slated to launch in the first quarter of 2012 on Mac and Widows PCs, the game will feature both adventure and hidden object game elements.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating with CBS Consumer Products and developer Spark Plug Games on this amazing franchise,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Who doesn’t remember episodes like ‘Time Enough at Last’ or ‘Nightmare at 20,000 Feet?’ Beloved by baby boomers worldwide, Legacy hopes to bring the same chilling intelligence, social relevance, and supernatural themes to our Twilight Zone video game.”

In this original story, gamers will take on the role of a struggling actor who finds himself trapped as a recurring character in multiple episodes of a TV show, from which he can’t escape before uncovering his role in each storyline. Players will encounter adventure style quests in which they set in motion key events through their actions within the game. In addition, as they find bits of the script in hidden object scenes across all the episodes, they learn more about the bizarre circumstances of their never-ending acting gig.

Psych Adventure Puzzle Title Arriving Later This Year
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Legacy Interactive has announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to develop a game based on the Universal Cable Productions detective comedy-drama series Psych. Coming in the fourth quarter of this year, the game will put players in the role of Shawn Spencer and will feature "light adventure gameplay with challenging hidden object searches"

A fan favorite and the #1 new series when it premiered on USA Network, Psych, is about Santa Barbara’s favorite crime psychic team starring James Roday and Dulé Hill.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating again with NBCUniversal,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Psych is the perfect TV license for the light adventure game customer, given how its protagonist, Shawn Spencer, uses observational skills to solve crimes. Imagine the opportunities for hidden object game play. Plus, the show has such a great, fun vibe!”

Adapted from the USA Network television series of the same name, TV fans and casual gamers alike can join Shawn and Gus at the Santa Barbara Police Department, as the hilarious duo solves crimes, pretending to use unique psychic powers. Psych will be available on Legacy Games for PC/Mac download at and at top retailers nationwide. Psych is licensed through Universal Partnerships & Licensing on behalf of NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group, Universal Cable Productions and USA Network.  Psych’s sixth season will air this Fall on USA.

“Humor, mystery, and co-operation are fantastic elements to work into a casual game design, and Psych is chock full of these attributes,” said Bill Kispert, Vice President & General Manager, Digital Platforms, Universal Partnerships & Licensing. “We are excited to bring clever, new cases to Psych fans online, and to partner again with Legacy Interactive with a leading TV brand.”

Psych blends light adventure gameplay with challenging hidden object searches, as players take on the role of Shawn Spencer, who consults with the local police department to solve crimes as a would-be psychic while actually using his heightened observational skills. The game consists of two all-new episodic cases to solve with a cast of quirky witnesses and suspects and no shortage of witty banter between Shawn and best friend Gus. While exploring the beautiful Santa Barbara locales, players must collect inventory items, play mini-games to find previously undetected evidence, solve clever puzzles, and help Shawn and Gus talk their way into and out of trouble. Players must stay alert and watch for clues only an expertly trained investigator, or perhaps even a real psychic, would be able to see in order to uncover the truth.

In tandem with the launch of the game, USA Network will offer a free 30-minute trial of the game on their “Character Arcade” ( Character Arcade is USA Network’s casual/social gaming destination that offers fans an interactive experience beyond game-play. The site includes access to gamer portfolio tools, social networking, an affinity rewards program, industry news, chat-blog forums and new gaming options, including PC, downloadable and MMO titles.
