Diablo III Demon Hunter And PvP Revealed 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 3 comments
Blizzard Entertainment recently announced the final class for its upcoming action RPG, Diablo III. The Demon Hunter seeks out hellspawn and uses their ability to resist demonic corruption as a weapon against the evil creatures. Blizzard also revealed information about player versus player action in the upcoming game. Demon Hunter Class: They call themselves the demon hunters, a group of fanatical warriors sworn to a single purpose: the destruction of the creatures of the Burning Hells. The demon hunters number in the hundreds and make their home in the Dreadlands so that they can live and train without the interference of any nation that would worry over having such a fearsome group camped within its borders (though at any time over half are dispatched across the world like this girl, seeking hellspawn). There is something in all demon hunters that gives them the strength to resist the demonic corruption that would drive lesser men to madness. They hone this power, for their resistance to this taint enables them to use the demons' power as a weapon. But their mission and their power are not all that bind them together.Diablo III PvP: Diablo III's PvP battles are fought in arenas spread out across the world of Sanctuary. These arenas aren't random -- they're all unique, designed with differing amounts of terrain and cover. You participate in PvP using the character of your choice, with access to all of the gear and skills you've accumulated playing the game in single-player or cooperative mode. You'll learn many of the fundamentals of PvP (like how to avoid attacks or target specific foes) by playing the single-player game, but PvP differs in that it isn't an ideal venue for gathering new weapons and armor. Your rewards for shedding blood in the arena are purer than that: bragging rights, the joy of sending friends old and new to their swift and inglorious deaths, and points that represent how far you've progressed on the path to fame and glory. Head over to the links below for more information.

World Of Warcraft To Receive Fourth Expansion 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 3 comments
In a recent interview with GameInformer.com, Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft senior producer John Lagrave revealed the company will be releasing a fourth expansion for the popular MMO. The game's third expansion, Catalcysm, is planned for release later this year. Lagrave explained: "We've now got a central idea [for the next expansion] that makes me happy and gets me excited, and it makes everyone else happy and excited. When everybody gets happy and excited, we know we're on to something. We don't know if it's going to be the final thing, but we know something good is coming. Will it top Cataclysm? I think it's pretty freakin' awesome. I'm really hopeful." When I made a joke about how it wasn't huge or shocking news that they're going to do another expansion, Lagrave laughed as well. How many expansions will World of Warcraft have? He said, "I think we'll do expansions basically until [Blizzard president] Mike Morhaime says there's no need to do any more."
