Blox Released For iPhone

synx.us has announced the release of a Blox for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch multimedia devices. The game challenges the speed and accuracy of the players' fingers and thumbs as they battle the clock to push flying blocks around the screen.
The player has one minute to score as many points as possible - during that minute, colored blocks will fly onto the screen from various directions. Each block has an arrow, and a point can be earned by physically pushing the block in the correct direction. Every ten points a bonus block will continuously regenerate. While the game goes on the player earns big points hectically flinging multiple blocks off the screen at fantastic speed.Head over to the links below for more information about the game.

Eschalon Book II: The Impact Of Weather Effects
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 7 comments
A new addition to Basilisk Games' official forums provides more information about weather effects in the upcoming Eschalon: Book II. The second game in the company's "old school" RPG series will continue the storyline from the previous game and feature a variety of new skills, new creatures, and a larger world to explore.
Weather has an effect, but not in the sense that you can freeze to death or drop dead from heat stroke in the middle of the desert.Visit the page listed below to read more.
Basilisk Games Forums: EB2 Weather
In Book II, weather has an effect on your Move Silently skill (this skill is enhanced during bad weather because your natural sounds are covered by wind and rain). However, it also gets very dark at night during a storm and torches can blow out- try relighting a torch in the rain; you are better off using magick light. We are working to adjust some spells during rain and snow conditions (what happens to Fireballs in the rain? Deep Freeze in a blizzard?). Ranged attacks with arrows and thrown weapons will suffer a penalty during windy conditions.
Overall, weather is meant to enhance the visual and audible realism of the game world and maybe force the player to alter their play style when an impending storm is coming (better hold up for the night in the Inn and head out in the morning- no need to wander the dark woods in the rain).
