Today IMG released the sixth episode of the Inside Mac Games Podcast, the official podcast of Mac gaming. Each week the IMG Podcast will be covering all the news in Mac gaming in one tight package. The tactical Mac games community & battle league, *DAMN has announced they are now hosting the iGuard help forums. Transferring over from the MacGamingLeague forums, the new iGuard forums will be moderated by the program's developers. For those of you who are in the blue, iGuard is an anti-cheat program designed for Raven Shield.

The Apple Downloads webpage currently features Platypus, a game developed by Retro64. Platypus is a side-scrolling shooter featuring cartoony clay graphics and 2-player simultaneous play.

Fantasy Flight Games has a preview of the recently announced World of WarCraft: the Board Game. The preview highlights the fundamentals of the boardgame including the gameplay, combat, and winning conditions. Furthermore, the preview has the rules, previews of items, and screenshots of the upcoming board game.

HOW DOES GAMEPLAY WORK?

At the beginning of the game, the characters are distributed so that there are an equal number of Heroes in each Faction – either two or three. Heroes begin at level 1, with some pre-selected abilities and equipment, as well as a small amount of gold with which to purchase more. Horde Heroes begin in the town of Brill, just outside the Undercity, whereas Alliance Heroes are freshly arrived in Southshore, on the coast.

After nearly a year with no major progress updates, two new screenshots of Redline have been released. Published by Ambrosia Software, Redline is realistic racing game with an advanced physics engine for life-like controls.

Posted on the Ambrosia Progress Logs, the game seems to be progressing nicely. One of the screenshots even features a menu, which tells us the game will feature the following modes:

• Challanges

On November 23 Blizzard Entertainment celebrated their one year anniversary of World of Warcraft, their extremely successful MMORPG. In just one year the company went from an unknown in the MMO market to the creator of the world's most successful massively multiplayer online game. To celebrate the milestone, the WoW team examined their favorite community contributions, including everything from machinima movies to fan fiction.

Shane Dabiri, WoW's Lead Producer, thanked the fans for their support and creativity, promising the continued addition of new content such as "The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj" in the 1.9 patch. More information about WoW's first expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, should be released in the coming months as well.

We'd again like to thank you all for forming the most kick-ass community of gamers out there. It's as much a pleasure for us to be a part of this community as players as it is to work on the game as developers. We look forward to celebrating World of Warcraft's upcoming one-year anniversaries at the corresponding times in each region, and we look forward to many more fun- and content-filled years of adventuring in Azeroth.

Myst Embassy recently wrapped up their D'niverse Movie Contest. The winner of contest was a submission by RIUM + that features a montage of all the Myst games, guiding the audience through the Myst storyline.
