Why is no one bringing any mainstream sports games to the Mac (baseball, soccer, hockey)? EA has a fleet of them on the PC. If I can get an answer to this, I'll re-subscribe to IMG! |

Aspyr's president is Michael Rogers :) He and Ted Staloch (my boss and the Exec VP) have been the forces behind building Aspyr to what it is today. They had the drive and the vision.
The point is a good one though- Aspyr is a amazing group of 40+ people that are all responsible for the success of the company. I have a bit more public face since I'm in the forums more than most, but everyone from licensing, programming, sales, marketing, QA, support, art, production, and our music & movies people all contribute immensely. If it weren't for all of them I'd just be one gal out here with not much to talk about ;)

Yeah...so...? We can thank him for allowing his employees the time to chat (thanks Scott!), but I doubt that Brad's billing Aspyr for every comment in the forums... |

Last time I checked, Scott Rogers was the head of Aspyr. |

Why is Aspyr the most popular of the Mac porting/gaming companies? Of course, it's the A-list titles, but it is definitely the rapport that people like Glenda, Brad Oliver, and Duane Johnson (who am I leaving out?) have with the community. They keep us up-to-date, show that they care about what we think by inquiring about potential future plans (OS X updates of old games and distribution on DVDs spring to mind), and even participate in general information/debate threads. Oh, and interesting interviews like this one.
I may be speaking for myself, but I feel like Mac gamers are virtually starving for any little nuggets of information about the subject we love. Thanks, Glenda, for satisfying that hunger. |
