looks like 1.4.2 is on the way from apple pretty soon now as my friend said they have beening giving it to the developers. also seems like threerings has all the main game features now working on the mac in the most recent release. I think if apple releases 1.4.2 with accelerated images (which apparently 1.4.1 doesn't have) then the ibook 800 should be playable since I know people who play this game on like pIII 500s on windoze (which does have the accelerated graphics) and it is pretty reasonable.

Too bad Puzzle Pirate is coming while the game reaches out of beta in 3 days ;)
On a side note, game was nearly unplayable on an iBook 800.

I am comfortable with 10.2.8 and I am not moving forward until Apple irons out all the wrinkles and bugs on Panther. The way things are progressing, I might skip Panther altogether and wait for 10.4.

Why doesn't Apple update to Java 1.4.2 and for that matter, they could also update their nVidia drives to have features that PC nVidia drivers have. Come on Apple at lest act like you care about gaming on OSX.
