7-day-free-trial

Seems that there are a circle on the trial-accound-creation.. You cant get it without buying 30-day-free-gaming (!!) or to have a promo-key.

As of now, I cant get my frieds to try this game without paying for it. And that will not happen, sadly, cause the game has a huge potential.

WWII Online

Takes a bit to get fully coordinated with the in-game mechanics because there is always so much going on in lots of different places all over the huge map, after all, we are talking about all of Lux, part of Britain, France, and Germany in half scale...

But if you check the AHC and GHC radio channels on the launch pages before going into the game, they will help you get hooked up with others and from then on, WOW!

Graphics on planes and vehicles are superb, but the terrain, while looking awesome in a panoramic view from the top of a hill, or from a plane, tend to break the immersion a bit when close up because of the low polys used on all terrain objects to keep in line with the polygone budget over such huge a huge viewing range.

Sound is above average, and performance seems to have improved since the 1.9 port to OpenGL.

If you are in to WWII and or Historical WWII style warfare, this is the game for you if you have the computing horsepower to run it.

Even at minimum graphics settings, 400Mhz CPU and 382 megs RAM are a must. 512Ram and 500+mhz for settings above minimum. Also, Dont even try planes and tanks without investing in a good joystick for best control.

Last year, I'd give it a 5 out of 10. Now I'll give it an 7.5 out of 10. when they get deployment in, somekind of permanent kill and award roster for us to go look at outside the game (bragging rights ya know), long distance artillery, Crew served machine Guns, the ability to get in and out of the different vehicles, and better in-game unit identifiers and unit communications, I think it will be worth a 9 out of 10. Get those things in, add navies and a Pacific or North African theater to the mix, and it will be perfect!

Some may disagree, but I have to give them kudos for working through the worst launch in history and making so much progress in a short two years time.
