Just a note...
EAX is not simulated 3D sound; it is special environmental effects such as echo, reverb and ambient sound. 3D positional sound is an entirely different matter, and as of yet the Mac SB Live! drivers do not support this. |

I belive the PC version had EAX support, and Westlake do have experience of implenting EAX on the Mac with games based on the Unreal Engine (Deus Ex and Rune have EAX support and there's OpenAL support coming for UT). That said, we can't be sure yet but will of course have more info as soon as we can ;) |

Anyone know if it will support EAX? I think it would be really awesome for a horror game to have true positional audio. Nothing would creep me out more to hear a screech from behind me that I wasn't expecting.
I don't like FPS games, but if this one supported EAX, I would buy it. |
